A new quarter has begun.

Do this practical exercise and answer these questions to review your goals, set new ones and make it happen!

A new month has just begun. But this is also the beginning of a new quarter. It's time to look back at these past three months and see where you currently are vs where you wanted to be.

It’s not uncommon to set big goals at the start of a new year to then find yourself overwhelmed and struggling to maintain momentum just a few months later.

If you are not exactly where you wanted to be this is not the time to get discouraged. Look at this new quarter as a new beginning. The quarterly review process is not meant to make you feel bad for what you haven’t yet accomplished or what may not be going well in your life. Rather it’s about reflecting, reevaluating and starting fresh.

It’s actually a wonderful occasion to take control of your life back into your own hands.

I’m here to help you keep on track on your goals so you can still make 2022 your year.

My suggestion is that you take a new sheet and you write down some of the things I’m about to tell you. Take 30 minutes for this.

First of all, if you already wrote a list of goals for the year, take that list back and read it again. Review if the goals you set are still aligned with what you want.

If not change/add goals.

If you didn’t write your 2022 previously, you can start a fresh one now.

It’s important to write down your goals and not leave them just in your head cause just by putting them down it will help you see them clearly and so have more chances to achieve them all. In my book I actually suggest writing down your goals every day to not lose momentum and be motivated everyday to take action toward them.

Write down all of the goals that come to your mind (personal and professional ones).

Once you have the list down, you can prioritize some or spread them over the next quarter. For example: this month I’ll focus on A B C, in MAY I’ll focus on XYZ…

Now take a new sheet/start a new note on your smartphone/ open a new document) and answer these questions below:

  • Where are you now?
  • What are the things I’ve learned these 3 months?
  • What are the things that you didn’t achieve?
  • What are the 3 most important non-negotiable goals you want to achieve this quarter?
  • What can you change in your habits/actions to make sure that this quarter you’ll achieve that specific goal?
  • What did you like about these past 3 months?
  • What didn’t you like?
  • What are the new habits you’d like to start?
  • What are you going to change in your life/strategies/mindset to achieve your goals? (answer each)
  • What are the things you want to learn in the next 3 months?
  • Describe what you are doing today in 3 months from today.

I really hope that this guided exercise can help take control back over your life and goals. It’s fundamental to write down all of your dreams and turn them into goals with actions to make them happen. The way you start your morning sets the tone for your entire day. That’s why having a morning routine is super important.

Take some time for yourself and do what you enjoy and makes you feel good.

This could mean to put your alarm one hour or 30 minutes earlier but you’ll be thankful for this time you reserve for doing something for you.

  • Read the tips above and write down your quarterly goals
  • Don't forget to write down your to-do list every day
  • Plan your meals in advance
  • Drink water 💧
  • Move your body for at least 30 minutes every day
  • Read 20 minutes per day
  • Listen to one podcast per day while having your daily walk
